Featured Projects
The Libertyville Residence
For this Libertyville residence, our design centers on creating a strong connection to the outdoors, with natural light filtering in from every angle to create bright, inviting living spaces. A predominantly neutral material palette provides a timeless foundation, while thoughtfully placed design moments bring character and visual interest to each room. The main living area was designed to accommodate both lively entertaining and everyday family gatherings, while the basement serves as a dedicated retreat for the adults and their two growing teenagers.
Green Oaks Residence
For this Green Oaks, Illinois home, we’ve been tasked with reimagining the property in phases, beginning with enhancements to a primary bathroom and the home office. We updated the office with custom wall paneling and bespoke cabinetry that promotes a modern aesthetic while complementing the traditional architecture around it. For the bathroom, we incorporated elements like beautiful marble shelving, a custom vanity top, and new shower tiling with a single, deliberate color accent.
Designed from the ground up, this five-bedroom, six-bathroom home was thoughtfully customized to reflect the homeowners' unique style and vision. While the overall design embraces a modern aesthetic with a neutral color palette, carefully selected textures, accents, and lighting create a space that feels distinctly personal. Many of these design elements were inspired by the homeowners' homeland of Poland, resulting in a home that balances contemporary sophistication with meaningful cultural influences.
Kenwood Residence
Our team transformed this residence with modern details that enhance the home’s vintage charm. Updated lighting and furniture were incorporated to blend seamlessly with original windows and woodwork, and the owners’ Turkish heritage was showcased upon their request via rugs sourced from Turkey and patterns and colors that call to mind home.
Client Testimonials
The Kuchar Team was amazing to work with when renovating my downtown condo. The whole process was straight forward, and they really took my requests to heart when planning my renovation! Ultimately, they turned my basic condo into a home which flew off the market when it was time to sell. Can't recommend them enough!!

Our Process
When we approach a high-end interior design project for new construction, we don’t force you into a “signature” studio aesthetic. All of our suggestions and choices are based off of your priorities, proven design principles, and thoughtful approaches to making your home feel unique.

As a team of curious rule-breakers, Kuchar believes great design work embraces unconventional thinking, and we extend this philosophy to materials, form, and function to find the perfect combination in any project. Our design process entails:
Kickoff and visioning
We will walk through the existing spaces of your home to learn about your likes and dislikes as we prep your new construction interior design. This ensures we can agree on colors, materials, furniture styles, lighting, and other elements as the project progresses.
Construction documents
We will prepare detailed drawings for contractors to ensure that nothing is missed or left to chance during our interior design work for a new home construction.
Design and space planning
Our team will develop curated presentations that feature 3D renderings, floor plans, and selections for lighting, furniture, and custom millwork.
Implementation and procurement
As a full-service studio, Kuchar purchases, tracks, troubleshoots, and installs all items, coordinating directly with the general contractor throughout construction.
