Kuchar reinvented Tricoci's spa treatment rooms, designing a luxury wellness space that clients would feel transformed in. A neutral palette was chosen with a mix of soft textures to give a calming vibe. Extra design effort was given to the cabinetry in each room, ensuring the technicians could access all their needs while maintaining a clean aesthetic for customers. In each room, a corner was dedicated to the customer providing a soft place to sit and change and to store their personal belongings.

A Spa Reimagined for Guest and Technician Alike
Tricoci Salon and Spa has been a name in Chicago luxury beauty since Mario Tricoci opened his first salon in 1977. For the renovated spa at the brand's Hawthorn Mall location in Vernon Hills, Kuchar was asked to reinvent the treatment rooms in a way that honored those luxury roots. The design centers on a neutral palette layered with soft textures, creating the kind of calm that lets a guest feel genuinely transformed. Kuchar reimagined the experience from both sides of the treatment: each room devotes a quiet corner to the guest — a soft place to sit, change, and store belongings — while custom cabinetry gives technicians easy access to everything they need without disturbing the serene aesthetic. The result is a wellness space designed as thoughtfully for the people who work in it as for those it restores.
