Rocket Travel Office
Located in a beautiful timber loft building, Rocket Travel came to Kuchar looking for an update to their office. Once a scrappy start-up, Rocket wanted to keep some of that vibe in the office but update the design to feel more cohesive and professional. Kuchar's approach to the design was to create comfortable and collaborative spaces throughout with subtle nods to travel. Train themed design elements, travel inspired wallpapers and even a fun London phone booth design all create a fun atmosphere that inspires.

A Travel-Inspired Office in a Fulton River District Loft
Rocket Travel came to Kuchar for an update to its Chicago office, set in a striking timber loft building in the Fulton River District. Once a scrappy startup — now the B2B partnerships arm of Agoda — the company wanted to hold on to some of that early energy while giving the space a more cohesive, professional feel. Kuchar's response was a series of comfortable, collaborative areas threaded with subtle nods to travel: train-themed design moments, travel-inspired wallpapers, and a playful London phone-booth. The exposed timber and brick of the loft supply warmth and character, while the travel details keep the atmosphere light and distinctly Rocket. The result balances a grown-up workplace with the sense of fun that built the company.
The Fulton River District has become a natural home for Chicago's tech and creative companies, many of them drawn to its timber-loft buildings and industrial character. Making the most of those spaces takes commercial office interior designers who can preserve raw architecture while shaping it into a functional, welcoming workplace. For a growing company, the challenge is often striking the right balance — professional enough to host partners and clients, relaxed enough to feel like the place a team actually wants to be. Weaving a brand's story into the design, as with Rocket's travel motifs, gives an office a personality that a generic buildout never could.
