A Warm, Timeless Backdrop for Davis Furniture's Evolving Collection
Davis Furniture has built its identity on design since 1944, when John T. Davis, Sr. founded the company in High Point, North Carolina. Four generations later, the family-led contract furniture manufacturer continues its long-standing collaborations with international designers. Davis's Chicago showroom sits inside The Merchandise Mart, the historic anchor of the city's contract furniture industry, where the brand hosts specifiers and dealers year-round and during NeoCon. The directive Kuchar received was clear: design a warm, timeless space that could absorb new collections as they were introduced. Kuchar anchored the showroom around a meticulously detailed hospitality bar that welcomes guests, with a restrained material palette chosen to complement Davis's furniture rather than compete with it.
