Kuchar transformed a vintage office building in Chicago's West Loop neighborhood to be modernized in it's amenities but still honor the vintage aspects of the space. Exposed brick, original wood floors and timber ceilings were left in tact to add to the warmth and charm. The interior design of the office kitchens and bathrooms were kept relatively neutral to appeal to a wide range of potential inhabitants. The design is professional, warm and timeless yet with it's own unique character.

With Randolph Suites, our team embraced the challenge of modernizing a vintage office building without losing the soul of the space. Chicago’s West Loop - once a hub for meatpacking and manufacturing - is now one of the city’s most sought-after commercial corridors, and the architecture in the area tells that story. Rather than covering up the exposed brick, original wood floors, and timber ceilings, we created them as design assets, building a material palette around them that feels professional, warm, and timeless. The kitchen and bathrooms were kept intentionally neutral to appeal to a broad range of tenants, while the shared spaces retain a distinct character that sets Randolph Suites apart from the typical modern office build-out.
