Amsterdam Financial Office
This office design is inspired by the textures of Amsterdam and its famous local artworks. From incorporating Girl with A Pearl Earring into our conference room lighting, to the color palette from Van Gogh's self-portrait 1887 into the café, the rich colors of Amsterdam are apparent throughout. In our walks around the city, we were inspired by the colorful tiled doorways, brick archways of the canal bridges and the many shapes of the famous canal homes. We brought this inspiration into the wall textures of the conference center, the bright tiles of the restrooms and the overall architectural language throughout. Pair all of this with soft wood tones and you have a warm, inviting space to work from every day.

Hear Us Out: Designing Offices with Purpose

An Office Rooted in Place
The Amsterdam Financial Firm is a project that captures what we love most about international work — the chance to let a city’s culture and history shape every design decision. Our team walked the streets of Amsterdam before a single material was selected, drawing inspiration from the colorful tiled doorways, the brick archways of canal bridges, and the distinctive silhouettes of the canal homes. Those observations became the architectural language of the entire space. Girl with a Pearl Earring informed the conference room lighting. Van Gogh’s 1887 self-portrait drove the café color palette. Bright tiles found their way into the restrooms, textured walls into the conference center. Paired with soft wood tones throughout, the design delivers a workspace that feels warm, culturally rich, and unmistakably connected to the city it calls home.

The strongest office interiors don’t just look good — they tell a story. When a workspace reflects the culture, location, or identity behind the business, it builds a deeper sense of connection for both employees and clients who walk through the door. Office interior designers help companies move beyond generic layouts by weaving site-specific inspiration, art, and material choices into a cohesive design narrative. Whether the reference point is a city, a brand history, or a cultural tradition, that layer of meaning is what transforms a functional office into a space people feel proud to work in.
From Chicago to Amsterdam, the Kuchar team designs office interiors that draw from the world around them. We bring curiosity, cultural awareness, and over 90 years of combined industry experience to every project — no matter where it takes us.
